Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it and how we protect it. We will never sell your personal data to third parties.
1. Who We Are
JobDocket is operated by Ryeley Clark, based in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at enquiries@jobdocket.co.uk.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following information when you use JobDocket:
•Your name and email address when you create an account
•Business name, location and trade type you provide during onboarding
•Your business logo if you choose to upload one
•Job information including client names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses
•Before and after photos you upload for each job
•Receipt images and extracted cost data
•Invoice details including labour costs, materials and totals
•AI generated job summaries
3. Why We Collect It
We collect this data solely to provide the JobDocket service. Specifically we use it to store your job records, generate invoices and PDF documents, display your profit and loss dashboard and personalise the app with your business details. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a third party database and storage provider. Supabase servers used for your data are located in the Central EU region. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and encrypted at rest. We do not store your data on local servers or personal devices.
5. AI Processing
JobDocket uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate job summaries and extract data from receipt images. When you use these features your job description or receipt image is sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not store data on Anthropic's servers beyond what is needed to complete each request. You can find Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
6. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with the following service providers who help us operate the app:
•Supabase — database and file storage provider
•Anthropic — AI processing for job summaries and receipt scanning
We may also disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.
7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
As a UK resident you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
•Right to access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
•Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
•Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data
•Right to portability — you can export your data at any time via the app
•Right to object — you can object to how we process your data
To exercise any of these rights please contact us at enquiries@jobdocket.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Job records, photos and invoices are deleted along with your account. Some data may be retained longer if required by law.
9. Cookies
JobDocket uses session tokens stored in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any third party tracking tools.
10. Children's Privacy
JobDocket is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via the app. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
